I have been so overwhelmed lately. Finals are coming. Have to take 3 finals and one last quiz. My worst final will be speech. I am so scared for this final. I guess I just have to read each chapter several times. I actually hate this class. Thank god it's over. I don't wanna make any more speeches in my life. The teacher was so strict and now on top of us she is giving us 10 essays on the final. This is just ridiculous. I mean this is a stupid speech class. It should be all mutliple choice and maybe at least 5 short answer questions. Life is not fair.

The Month of May
The month of May has finally arrived. Lately, I havent been blogging and I am really trying to keep up with it. It is our last month of our academic year 2007/2008. We are almost done but remember there are still finals that need to be taken. This semester I have to take 3 finals plus one last quiz for my linguistics course. Yesterday, I had a test on phonology. I am really frustrated because first of all it was very hard. I think that the examples from other languages were just too much for us. It was too challenging especially the last part. Second of all my average in this class is B and I want it to stay this way because that's my major course. The phonology yesterday was just terrible. I am really scared. There is one more quiz to take on May 12th, but all homework is already done for this class so I can only pray for that one quiz on sociology. I am so overwhelmed and there is lot more to come.

I am so excited just a few days ago I got to talk online with my brother-cousin.
I am very happy form him because he finally got himself a girlfriend.
She sounds like a nice girl. She is special to him. The most interesting part
is that she is older than him, and in the past he only used to date younger girls,
but as long as he is happy that's fine with me and by the way he is sure we will
see each other this time over the summer. We better. I dare him to go away.

Buying and having so many books at home sometimes just makes you lose track of what you already read and what you should still read. Yes, exactly that's what gets me frustrated the most. I was happy to start this book that I thought I never read it before. I was almost halfway through it when I realized that I know some parts already it. At first Ithought maybe I saw a movie based on this book but when I took a look in my notebook when I write down every single book that I read I just noticed that I was done with this book in May 2007. So this is how I have to keep track by just writing down what I already read what I still have to read it. That's the est way to organize it if you are such a bookworm like me.
Anyways, today was such a great day. I got to talk with my cousin-brother. Yes that's how I call him. He is my very first cousin and I call him brother and he calls me a sister. One time I said to my grandma: "Why can't I have an older brother?" and she said: "You've already got one." (lol). I cant wait to see him this year in the summer. I didn t get to see him last time because he had to go to UK for his college credits but this year just one word- D E F I N I T E L Y .

Sometimes this blogger drives me nuts. Yesterday I have been typing my post for like three times and everytime I wanted to publish it there was an error. I know I havent been a very good blogger lately. I am trying to keep it up. Right now I am at the computer lab upstairs at the library. My speech presentation is in about an hour. I am reall freaking out because it is a group project and I dont wanna mess it up for the whole group.
Yesterday when I was doing my hw for READ 102-05 I was so shocked when I found out an answer to our question about relationship between USA and Afghanistan. It turns out that we are ALLIES. I was like taken aback. I hope it wasnt some span posted. Anyways we will discuss it in class today.

Why these children? Why?
" Shootings, beheadings, burnings, and bombings: these awre all tools of imitation used by the Taliban and others to shut down hundreds of Afghanistan's public schools. To take aim at education is to make war on the government."
" As Zarmina scurried away, the men took a more studied aim at those they already had shot, killing Shukria with bullets to her stomach and heart."
I was very moved and shocked by this article. I think this article really made me think and oopen my eyes a little wider. It is just so unbeliavable to me what takes place in Afghanistan. Why are these children being punished for going to school and learning new stuff? I just don't get it. These Taliban people are not human beings. They are monsters or even worse than monsters if there is an appropriate word for it. What this article also made me realize is that every one of us should be happy where we live, which is US. We are living in a very safe place comparing to these Afghanistan people. Can you just imagine what they have to go through everyday. People are just being killed right in the streets. They are killing children. They have no mercy whatsovever. They are killing these poor children because they want to go to school. They want to get education in order to get a good job later on. Think about it. What can it be done to stop these nightmares?!

Ulysses
Ulysses is considered to be a classic. Ok I understand that James Joyce has written something special, but I just don't get the point of this whole book. When I started reading I was lost right away after reading like 5 pages and guess what I love to read, but this special book just threw me right OFF. My cousin was right. You cannot just read some books. She read it in Polish and she still didnt get some parts. So can you just imagine I started to read it in English and it was still very confusing for me.
movie commentary- Kite Runner
Watching Kite Runner movie made me really think about the book. The Kite Runner movie is very, but very similar to the book. Some parts may be organized differently, but it is still the same plot. The movie shows a lot of great scenes taken from the book. The director really did a great job. I still think the rape scene was a little bit too graphic. I think that the director shouldn't do this scene at all having to do with how young these boys were. I am 100 percent sure that it was a very hard scene for these boys to film. The director should have totally skipped it. He skipped others parts, so what's wrong with skipping a rape scene. It was a great movie to watch. It had a lot of great pictures. I still have to say that reading a book is so much better than actually watching just a movie. A lot of lines were taken directly from the book, which is not really a big deal. The director made an amazing job. I also still think the movie should have started out differently. It should have started it with when they were young kids not just straight from the United States. It was really entertaining to watch. I also have to say that the part where Assef beats up Amir was also very graphic. It actually made me look away. Honestly, I cannot stand parts like this. I fully understand that the director wanted to show this part, but it should have been shown more kind of like you all probably know what I mean - not that graphic. All I have to say is that the movie was really great.

bialabials, labials, interdentals and bla bla
Yes, these words have been going around my brain for too long. How much more studying can I take?I Ugh ... I have a test on phonetics tomorrow. Thank god, I found a way to make it a lot easier. So, people if you take LNGN 210 do yourself a little favor and make a simple chart where you will just put like everything together for ex manner of articulation here and manner of place here lolz. I have been going nuts today. I even missed church to study all this. I hope that I will get a decent grade. More posts about Kite Runner coming up next ...

an excellent response
Yes, I also think the police response to this threat has been excellent. This person, who did this, paralyzed our entire shool community should be punished and what I mean by punished means being expelled forever from our community. We shouldnt have to deal with such crazy people. It is just unbeliavable to me how can you be just that retarded. I hope that they will find this person and that person will be punished.
what a day
Two policeofficers checked my ID, which wasn't that scary because I was already prepared for it. Then, my math class was only like 30 min long because a lot of people was scared to show up. My second class speech was cancelled because there was no class before us and the prof didnt emailed us and guess what I have the last class. I am at the library now. I have nothing else to do it except to wait or my class then go home and do the middle draft for tomorrow. It is so hot. It must be like 60 something degrees outside. Police is everywhere. There was even a chopper filming us from channel 7. Police is even using quads to go around the campus, which I think is cool because my dad has a quad too and I know it is very fun to ride one.

Compare/Contrast
The Kite Runner starts out a lot differently than the book itself. It starts out when Amir is already married and is living in California. His younger life is shown as a flashback in the movie. It actually goes back and forth between his older life and his younger life. The things that are exactly the same in the movie are some of the lines that were directly taken from the book. The rape scene is exactly the same when Amir watches the whole thing and does nothing. It is just too graphic in the movie. Honestly, some things are still the same and some are different. It depends from what angle you are kind of looking at it. There is a Kite tournament. There is a time when Amir carved in the bark of the trees that they are Sultans of Kabul. Assef calls them ******* like he has done in the book. I have to admit there is a lot of similarities as well as differences. Obviously the director couldn't do every little detail to make the movie shorter. The movie is actually very good. I like the music that was used for the movie. It starts out very cool with this Hindu music in the background or rather Spanish. It is cool.
Hot Zone? Into the Wild? Night? OR KITE RUNNER!!!
Last semester in READ053 we have read three books: Hot Zone, Into the Wild and Night. Honestly, Hot Zone turned out to be kind of a gory book. Into the Wild came out to be perfect, I still haven't seen the movie but I am planning to. The Night happened to be very depressing having to do with the Holocaust, the execution of Jews. As you can see there is a lot of things that can be said about at least one book, but the main question is: WHAT ABOUT KITE RUNNER??
Yes, this semester we read Kite Runner. I would recommend this book to anyone. Kite Runner is a very special book. It talks about a lot of events that can take place in anyone's life. When my sister read Kite Runner she was very moved by this book and she is right. She said that Kite Runner is just this book that everyone has to read it because it is 100 percent worth it. There is a lot of issues going on.
I think the most important events of the book would be:
1) Hassan gets raped
2) Amir moves to the US with Baba
3) Amir gets married and his first book gets published
4) Amir gets a call from Rahim Khan- THERE IS A WAY TO BE GOOD AGAIN!
5) Amir finds Sohrab
6) He almost dies rescuing Sohrab from Assef, whe Assef beats him up
7) Sohrab tries to commit a suicide
8) Amir and Sohrab finally coming to the US
9) Sohrab stops talking
10) Amir still knows how to fly a kite - THE END

Why?
All of us attending MSU are paying a lot of money just to be here. All of a sudden there happens to be a threat that the safety of our school is in danger. How are we suppose to feel? Probably many of you heard over the news what happened at the other schools. There were students like us who just wanted to listen to a regular college lecture and they had to pay a huge price with their lives. They lost their lives because they wanted to be smart. They wanted one day to accomplish all of their goals and get a job and make a lot of money. They just wanted to experience how the college life really lools like. Most of them were my own age. Can you just believe how it makes the person feel when you wake up one day turn on the news and you hear that there has been a shooting at one of the colleges nationwide. Can you just imagine what would it feel like if it would happen at your own school? It is just unbeliavable. There is not enough words to express how I feel at this moment. Tomorrow due to this just one threat our college community will be secured with extra force, but the question is why? Why? Why there are people in this world who want to hurt others? Think about it.
God Bless You All. Be Safe Tomorrow.

Kite Runner
When you get toward more the end of the book it gets to be very interesting. I was so surprised when Sohrab tried to kill himself. This shy kid just goes like that and slashes his wrists. It was just unbeliavable. The part where Assef was trying to kill Amir was too graphic. When I was reading I actually felt like I was there. I still have like 5 more pages left to read lol. The book is very good.

one hell of an adventure
I and my two friends were finally happy getting out of work. When we got to my car and I turned it on I was like oh my god I forgot to get gas so we said all right then there is a gas station on our way home. I panicked of course because I still had to go to Garfield to drop my friend off and it was almost 10 pm. So we were like ok then off we go, but when we got there it was already closed. My friends told me dont panick there is two more on the way down but they were also closed. So we had to go all the way to Essex St in Hackensach to finally get it because they are open 24/7 there. Ok then we were so happy we will finally get it. The problems werent over yet. My thingy is kind of broken so I have to have a special key ok then I gave the guy a key. Few more seconds later he tells me the key doesnt work. I got so scared because maybe they broke it on the last gas station and I didnt know. Guess what instead of using this little FUEL KEY he was using my house key. We were laughing our asses off. I am glad we got safely home.

OMG!
Yes, exactly another OMG POST. When the class asked the GA assistant how were the midterm grades? He said most of them were in the high C's. Of course I panicked, but when I saw my grade I asked him if this is true because this was just such an unbeliavable experience for me. Guess what?! I got 97. Hahahaha!!!! A+! But this is just math103, which has more math history than problems in it , but it is still 40 percent of the final grade ulalalala. lol
Awakening
Yes, I am reading Awakening by Kate Chopin for one of my classes. At first the book seemed kind of boring for me. I finally started it on like the third try because I said to myself it is just messed up for me to read just summaries online. The book turns out to be very interesting. I still think Edna is a nutcase. She has these mood swings all the time. I am also reading Kite Runner. Yes, I WILL DEFINITELY FINISH IT BY MONDAY LOL WHOEVER IS READING MY BLOG FROM THE CLASS. I don't wish to writer 5-7 analysis paper based on why I haven't read the book. It is better watching a movie THAN writing a paper lol.
Carolina, Puerto Rico
Yes, there is a place in this world that has my name it but it is spelled with the C. It is located in Puerto Rico near San Juan. I just heard about it this past weekend ;-)
Boulder, Colorado- Ramsey murder case
The murder of J. Ramsey happened a long time ago, but last week one of the girls in my speech class gave a speech on beauty pageants. One of her examples was J. Ramsey. It is just unbeliavable that a little girl like J. Ramsey was murdered due to her participating in beauty pageants. When I read about how she was murdered I just couldn't take it anymore. There are crazy people out there. She moved with her parents from Georgia to Boulder, Colorado. I just don't think her parents did it like some of the people said.

I am really trying to catch up weith my blogging but recently I didn't have enough time. I am either spending my time driving, at school, or at work. Today I had a day off, but still I was in school all day long. I am glad that they didn't closed these two lanes on Route 46 again. Last time when they did this past wendnesday the traffic jam was so bad. These people just don't get it when they see the blinking arrow telling them that the lanes are being closed. They don't want you to change the stupid lane. Where am I suppose to go? If there is an utility work it is a common sense that one lane or more than one may be closed at this time and you have to let the people go.

giving a speech
I hate to talk to people, but I will have to. Tomorrow I am giving a persuasive speech on human cloning. I hate talking. I just cant. I will just have to imagine the room is empty or something. I hope that I will do well. I have off tomorrow from work. Phew! Going back on tuesday.

Summer 2008
I am so happy to say that my dad finally reserved us tickets. I am going to Poland July 9th and coming back August 7th, but this time I am going with my crazy family. They have to follow me everywhere I go. Last year I have been by myself but I still had some problems with my old-fashioned, ancient grandma.
freshmantoritis
Since there is a thing called senioritism. I figured out that there can also be the case of freshmantoritis, or freshman, who procrastinates to the last minute. Yes, that's me. This week has been so crazy to me. I had a midterm. I had a test. I had to read something and guess what most of it I left to the last minute. I even have trouble blogging these days. I think I will have to like write it on my forehead so I don't forget. There has been a lot of things going on. I am working everyday since wednesday. I am off on monday and I go back on tuesday. These customers also don't give a crap. All they do is talk back to you or complain. I fell behind with my reading. I am reading like three books at the time. One book I have been reading for over a month already. I just don't have the time or need. I have no idea what's been going on with me lately but I don't like it. I am a one big lazy ass :)

just three simple words: Oh my God!
This is unbeliavable. I am so happy that I can barely write on my keyboard. First of all I wasn't born to be a writer. I just got an email from my writing professor. I just didn't expected it to happen. I got a B- on my paper! I am so so so happy. It is just a big - OH MY GOD! for me. This stuff doesn't happen to me everyday. I am so happy and excited. I was never that excited in my entire lifetime oh maybe lol. Oh my god lol. Anyways I am just now working on my paper. I have no idea what I am going to get on it. I am just doing my job. So finally I had my math midterm. It was all T/F and MC. It was a total of like 86 or even 90 questions. I knew most of the stuff. I hope that I will get something decent at least.

Should professors really plan their midterms after spring break?
My answer to this one is no. Now my whole spring break is completely ruined. I have to study my math book from page one to page seventy seven. I think it's totally unfair to do midterms after spring break. This should have been long before we went on a break. Now spring break is ruined for 87 people. We all gotta study for one stupid midterm which should have been scheduled before vacation. Wow thanks a lot. What about if some people had the whole spring break planned out already? What about if they are going away? Never heard of Caribbean Islands? Now their whole vacation went down the drain because they have to carry this heavy big math book with them.

Have you ever been betrayed or pissed off at once?
Oh sure I was. I always thought I am going to be at my cousin's wedding, but guess what they planned the whole thing for September. What a stupid idea. What am I suppose to say to that. I just feel betrayed and pissed off right now. If she would really want me to be at her wedding she should have really thought about it before making this big mistake. I just cant believe these people. Oh well, if we they wanna do it this way fine with me but later don't like go sorry crazy over me.
Midterms Spring 2008
This semester I just have to take one midterm. I am so psyched. I just have to take math midterm. Tomorrow I am planning to study for it. I have to go over like 77 pages. Oh crap. I hope that I will survive it. Anyways this weekend has been so so hard for me. I had a lot to do at my work. I am so so tired. It is just unbeliavable what these customers are capable of doing. The whole place was just one huge, big mess. I was like about to die. I am trying to keep up with my blog because for the last few days I was kind of busy.

The Nurture of Intelligence
During one of my classes we went to see this guy Joshua Aronson giving a lecture on the intelligence. He is a professor at NYU. He is a very smart guy. Honestly, I didn't get the half he said. I mean the way all these smart people talk is sometimes just hard to get. It was very interesting to watch because he had a powerpoint. I think the main point of this lecture was to compare and contrast different levels of the human intelligence. It was kind of cool to listen to such a smart guy but half of it was really very hard to understand. He had some very cool pictures of our president. I think that he should have been more clearer in what he wanted to say.
Anyways I got back from work two hours ago. I am very tired. Can you imagine I paid 43 dollars for gas today. It was $3.o5 per gallon. It is unbeliavable- thank you Mr. Bush. Keep this war going on and next year we will pay 10 bucks for a gallon of gas.

The day went so fast probably because of the daylight savings time. I got back from work an hour ago. Tomorrow I have classes all day long. Right now I am doing my homework for linguistics- Semantics :) My till was perfect today which is like unbeliavable lol. I go back to work on Wednesday. So, spring break next week, so that's cool, but then I gotta study for one of my midterms. This year I have the entire month of June off. I am so excited. Ok then gotta go!

Obama Wins Wyoming Caucuses
I wanted Hillary Clinton to win. Oh well, I guess I have to live with that. Who knows what will happen this Tuesday?! I want her to win on Tuesday, but you never know. There is a lot of pressure on this presidential campaign. There is a lot of stuff going on. I hope Hillary Clinton will stay. She will not let Obama get in her way. I wish her lots of luck. It would be wonderful if she would become our next President. I want her to stay strong. I don't want her to lose hope. I just want her to win ;-)
I am trying my best to not just write about myself on this blog. I am trying to put some thoughts into recent events that have taken place in our country. I can't wait for the Spring Break lol. One more week and finally I will get some needed rest and sleep lol. One of my professors already gave me a very special gift for my Spring Break and guess what that is - STUDY FOR THE MATH MIDTERM. Oh jeez, I have it the week we get back. I hope I do good lol. I dont wanna mess up my A that I got on my paper so far lol.

Calabria 2007
There is this song called Enur playing on the radio all the time. Not just one station. I finally found out whose song is this. When I was online I was shocked that this artist is dead. She has died in a car accident in Denmark in 2007. She was in the car with her friend but her friend has survived. I am still in shock. She was such a great artist. I just love this song. Everytime I hear it on the radio and I am driving to school I just turn it on full and even open my windows. I don't care if people are getting annoyed at me lol. So anyways probably they play this song all the time because in tribute to this young person who only died at 34.

Is there a real difference between a girl being raped or a guy being raped?
Yes, there is. I think that it would be more embarrasing for the guy to be raped than a girl because it is very uncommon for guys to get raped. I think that for a guy it would seem to be like an end of the world because he would feel "less of a man." His masculity would be lost. It would just haunt him for the rest of his life. Who knows maybe over the years the wounds would heal. I just think it depends more on a state of the mind. I read this book once by Margot Abbott called "An Innocent Hour." In this book there is a part where the guy gets raped, but what is very interesting is that he is not some young guy. He is a man. He is over like 30 or 40 years old. It is very hard for him in the book because he has a wife and imagine just how would you feel if your boyfriend or husband told you that he was raped? It is just hard to imagine.
If I would have a boyfriend who was being raped I wouldn't stop loving him. I think that I would love him a lot more for that. I would probably try my best in loving and taking care of him. I would probably try to hear him out and help him to heal his wounds. I wouldn't just leave him. I would love him more for just telling me all this. I mean it is just veryhard to imagine to be a guy, who has a girlfriend or who is married and having being raped. Honestly, I would love my boyfriend even more. I wouldn't leave him with all of this by himself. I would just tell him: "Listen honey, everything will be alright. We will get through all of this together. I love you so much." That's exactly what I would tell him. I wouldn't just leave him all alone. I would stand by his side no matter what.
The whole point of this blogpost is that in one of my classes we are reading Kite Runner, which is a bestseller and a very good book. I would recommend it to anyone. In Kite Runner, one of the main characters, Hassan, gets raped. Honestly, I was in shock after I have read that part, but anyways to get right to the point it just made me realize how the guy can feel after being raped. Do you think he will tell his father? Probably not, or maybe. Who knows! I didn't get to that part yet, but anyways can you just imagine to know a guy who was raped? I mean for me it is just hard to think about it. What about you guys? Think about it a little more.
Hillary Clinton vs Barack Obama
Yesterday was a very important day for most of us politicians. I am extremely happy to say that Hillary Rodham Clinton has won in three states. I am very happy because I want her to be a President of the United States. The president of our nation. After watching and listening through all these democratic debates I believe she has everything to be a president of this country. Many of you out there I am not going to mention any names say that she shouldn't really be a President of the United States because of her husband. Come on guys what does Bill Clinton have to do with all of this? Is he the one running for the President? I think not. I believe that Hillary Clinton has everything what it takes to be our leader. I wish her very well and on November 4th 2008 I plan to vote for her like I did in February. So I would love to say GOODBYE MR. OBAMA. Try next time.
I am a commuter so I can't say anything about what happens on campus during weekends. I think what should be change about MSU are the tution costs. I think it is ridiculous how much money do we have to pay. I remember when one of my professors told me that she had to pay for her doctorate degree thousands of dollars. It is just unbeliavable how much money do we have to spend just to get educated. It is not just the tutition. It is also about how much MSU bookstore charges us for books. Here is the simple example you buy a book that costs like sixty bucks and guess how much they giver you back. You usually getr like 5 bucks or even less. I think that if the book costs let's say sixty bucks you should get at least 20 dollars for it or let's say like 25. I mean these book prices are ridiculous. I can't really say that there should be more activities during weekends because I don't really dorm there. I mean all these tuition costs are humongous. There is a lot of parents out there who have more than one child. They can also have twins, which means sending both kids to school at the same time. A lot of parents come here from another countries. I think that the tutition costs should be lowered and that MSU bookstore should rethink their way of charging us.

Kite Runner turns out to be a good read. I am reading three books at the same time so it can get to be annoying oh well it was my fault to do that in the first place. I just finished watching RV. It is a very funny movie with the Williams actor. I forgot what 's his name. I missed church today. Had to study. Today I was at work. There was not a lot of stuff to put away. Oh well gotta deal with it. On Tuesday I go to work again. I worked with my girl today so it wasn't bad lol. Anyways gotta go

Garfield schools in NJ closed due to the strike
Today all Garfield public schools in NJ were closed due to the strike out having to do with signing the contract. Do you think they have a right to do it just like that? I mean parents have to work. Where do you think they will decide over one night where to leave their children. There is really two sides to it. I think Garfield teachers have every right to do it because I mean these are their jobs but on the second thought this should have been kind of like more like thought over. They are not just going to leave all these children on the schools' doorsteps right? I think they should also think about their students as well. I understand that they did it because of their jobs but come one think a little more people. Where do children come in all of this?!

being bilingual
Have you ever had this problem of just reading books in English all the time and then all of a sudden you start reading them in your own native language? I have been reading books in English for over eight years. I love to read in English and just yesterday I started reading one book in Polish. It was just so hard for me to get back to reading in Polish because all the time I have been reading in English. Even today I got two books in English. I got Kite Runner for my class straight to Walmart because over there you can get a lot cheaper books- even in hardcover. ;-)

new issue: on swearing on blogs
Hello,
I am trying not to swear too much but sometimes you cannot just help it if someone annoyed you or you feel like your whole life is going down the drains. I will try not to swear. I promise. I am sorry if I offended anyone.

Cedric's journey through life/ US education system
Cedric's journey throughout his whole life was just one big adventure. He never gave up. He didn't let anyone get to him. He had a very special personality about him. I enjoyed reading this book, but I think the best book that I have ever read for this type of a course was Into the Wild. I think that I would never undergo the same life journey as Cedric did. It was just unbeliavable how he didn't let others get to him for being very smart, black kid and ghetto. He just lived his own life.
The US system of education for me is very easy and fair comparing to the one I had in Poland. In my country the system of education is just nuts. The math in my country is just beyond crazy no wonder I always had troubles. I never was good at it. In the United States I improved in math a lot. It was nothing comparing to the United States system of education. No offense but the system of education in my country is extremely bad. I prefer the one in the US. At least in the US I don't have to go through so much stress as I did in my country.

I am finally done with reading East of Eden. It was a very sad way to end the book- Aron Trask going off to the war and dying. It was also sad for Adam Trask as well- getting a stroke and having been paralyzed with the left side of his brain. Today before my class in the morning I started reading one of the books by Mary Higgins Clark. This book, which I am reading now is called ON THE STREET WHERE YOU LIVE. It is fantastic. I am reading it for the second time and I still think it is one of the best books she has written of all times.

at the library computer lab
So, I am sitting in the computer lab at the library. Found two more interesting articles for the project. I hope this presentation will come to be interesting. Yesterday I finished A hope in the Unseen. The ending was too short. It was a very good book to read. It was so sad when Barbara got almost evicted. It was just unbeliavable how people started to go through her things. They didn't have any real human feelings for her and Cedric. It was also partly her fault because she was just putting everything to the last minute and then everything just kept piling up. Ok then, i have to go to read something for speech because I am kind of behind. Thanks to my laziness. I have two more classes then I am off the campus till tomorrow morning, which is going to be Math 103 with Dr.Gottschall ;-)

pass/fail
Pass/Fail Grade Option
Undergraduate students may enroll in up to eight elective courses using the Pass/Fail grade option. Some schools further limit the number of courses that can be taken as Pass/Fail and may otherwise restrict use of the Pass/Fail option. Contact your school recorder for the Pass/Fail form and more information.
Instructors are not informed when undergraduate students elect to take a course on a Pass/Fail basis, however, graduate students must obtain the instructor’s signature to take a class Pass/Fail. In both cases, the instructor will report the standard letter grade to the Office of the Registrar. The registrar will then record grades of D- or above as Passing grades (P), and an F as a failing grade (F). A grade of P does not affect the grade point average. A grade of F will count like any other failing grade.
Courses taken on a Pass/Fail basis count toward full- or part-time standing for purposes of financial aid and loan deferments.
Signed forms must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar by the deadline specified in the academic calendar. Once invoked, the student may not change to graded status for the course.

pissed, depressed, mad
Today was a very bad day for me. I got a bad grade on my test, which depressed me.
I lost my credit card, which pissed me.
And I am mad at myself for not trying hard enough.
Why life has to be so hard. What about if I am not going to be able to improve? I just wanna curl up and cry. I am asking myself this question- what the hell is wrong with me?
Why did I do bad? I really did study. Sometimes I just have enough of my life.

our READ102 article project
So, I went with Sidney to the library to find an article. We couldn't decide what are we going to talk about in class. We had all these different kinds of topics. The world is huge. Everything is out there. First we wanted to do Anna Nicole Smith but we realized that probably we would bore the class. Then we wanted to do about the issues of sex or teen pregnancy but then we decided that these are not very good topics. The point is we don't wanna be boring. We wanna make this presentation very interesting and entertaining. Oh well who knows what are we going to do it on.
Today is Valentines Day. Happy Valentines Day to all these people who are celebrating! I am not a big fan of this day. If I would have been born on this day I would change it right away. My dear cousin almost made it. He was born on Feb 13th and he himself doesn't think it would be a good idea to be born on Valentines Day. NO OFFENSE TO ONE OF MY CLASSMATES LOL IF YOU ARE READING IT. I DON'T WANNA HURT YOUR FEELINGS ;-)

I am so tired. Just got back from friggin' work. Everything looked like crap in Valentines Day aisle. My feet hurt me. They closed Main Street today so I had to go all the way around to work. I hate when they do that. Every time it freakin' rains hard the whole thing is like flooded. I think they should do something about it because it happens every single year when we get these hard rains. Tomorrow I have three classes. I wonder how I am gonna make it. Probably will go out to piuzza in between. I think Friday I am going to the mall because I don't have to work that day. Ok then, will write some more tomorrow ;-) Ciao!

Cedric Jennings vs. my life
Cedric Jenninigs managed to get this far by believing in himself. When he was at MIT, Will Tripping told him that he was not good enough for MIT, but did Cedric give up? No, he didn't. He kept on going further and further. He applied to Brown University, which is a very good school and got in. He did not let anybody get to him. He just kept on believing in himself that he can do it. He just tried harder and harder until he got to the point that he was satisified with. Other kids were making fun of him, but he also didn't get let them get to him because he knew in his heart that he was much better than them.
It is the same exact thing in my case. In order to do good at school and in life I have to keep on trying and believing in myself. If I wouldn't do that I have no idea where I would end up to be. My family has been my strongest influence in life. They just tell me to do my best. Don't get it over your head too much because that's not good either.

If someone would ask me now for help in writing a paper I would have said no without further thinking. Doing two papers in two days is just freakin' enough for me. I just finished typing my first draft for my first paper in ENWR and to be honest I only wrote three pages. I wanted to do at least 4 but I just couldn't take it anymore. I got stuck. I am sick of analyzing the word epiphany. I just can't take it anymore.
Recently I don't have time to catch up with my readings anymore. I am still stuck on East of Eden which should have been done like two weeks ago. Thank god I have only one class tomorrow. This week went so fast. Tomorrow I have to go to work- fun fun.

tired
Thank god the post from the book can be done afterward. I just finished my math paper. Yea, I accomplished something, but who knows what grade am I going to receive. I am so tired. I had to go to the church today because of the Ash Wednesday. I still have to wash off the mark. My paper is only four pages long but it took like forever. He better be happy with it. You weren't supposed to use contractions and it almost killed me when I had to reprinted because I used one by mistake. I am like yawning like crazy. It was kind of a sad day today. My dad's and uncle's friend died today. He was an alcoholic. What a stuoid way to die, but still he was still a human being and I feel sorry for his family. Ok then I have three classes tomorrow. I guess I am going to be done with the rest of my homework before them. I just can't do anything right now. Tomorrow I will finish reading my book for reading. I usually read as we go along, but this time just didn't worked out.

cast a vote- make a difference
Today is a big day as many of you know. It is called Super Tuesday. So, I had only one class from 10 to 11:15 and right after school I went to vote at the fire house. It was fun. It was my first time voting in my life. Anyways, I have to pick up my little sister today. It is an Election day, so many schools have half-days today. I have to go to work today. Yesterday I spent maybe over an hour writing my math paper. I have to be very careful because my professor is very picky. We cannot even use abbreviations or contractions and the worst part is that it has to be so many words.
Anyways, tomorrow's blog will be about Cedric Jennings. It is my homework assignment for this Thursday. I can't do it today because I have other things to do. I still have to do my homework for ENWR for tomorrow. Thank God I am finally done with the other one, which must be handed in and graded. On my first assignment I got 85 ( the highest third grade that you were able to get). I was so excited. I have to get a very good GPA this semester if I want to apply for the Teacher's Program at MSU. Ok then, have to go get ready to pick up my sister. Her school is very close. It is within a walking distance, which usually takes me like 3 minutes to get there.
Adios Amigas! ;-)

a hope in the unseen
I am so mad. My blog entry just got erased. I have to start all over again. I would recommend this book to anybody. It is worth reading it. It tells you to just go on with your life. Stop worrying what others think. I am about to go to Chapter 4. I still have to read 2 chapters for speech but it can be done tomorrow during my break. So I am just reading and circling words right now. I hope Giants will win. They deserve it. Show these Patriots who rules lol. Anyways I am trying to keep up with my blog everyday. It is also required for one of my classes. Super Tuesday is coming up. I am planning to really set my heart out this time and vote you should do the same. So, I went to work today. Put all the shit away. We made some decent money. My feet are okay. Yesterday they were really killing me. I got pissed off at this customer who came in today. She freakin' cursed at me. My friend also got a verbal abuse from one of these lousy customers. I can't believe these people. They really have serious brain problems. Ok gotta go, finish reading my book for tomorrow ;-)
Hope Giants will win!
They better!!!

afternoon blog
I have to make blogging a habit. I have to try to blog every single day. In one of my classes it is required. I just don't want to lose points for a simple thing as blog, because it wouldn't make any sense. So, I woke up around 10. I had to clean the kitchen and my room. My room is always a mess. I have no idea how some people can actually keep their rooms clean and tidy. I am never going to learn. The worst part is that I hate cleaning. I just hate it. When it comes to cleaning my room sometimes I just don't know where to start and besides since school started I have more work to do than ever before. I miss the break. Life was so much easier then but February is a very short month so it will go fast. In March we have a spring break so this one will probably go fast as well. April this year will be kind of long because there is no Easter in April this year and then finally May and we are done for the academic year 2007/2008.
On Tuesday I am planning to vote. Yes, definitely. I have never voted before so I am kind of nervous to be honest. I just don't want to make a stupid mistake by pressing a wrong bottom, which in my case is a huge possibility. If you know me very well you know what I mean by that lol. Every single vote counts. I know it is just a primary one but at least we will be able to see who is favored the most by our state. I am almost done with reading Harry Potter- the first book. The Hope in the Unseen I will start this weekend. I have to if I don't wanna fail. Ok then, gotta go maybge I will start some of my homework now because later I have to go to work.
Ciao!

My feet are killing me. Today was my first day back at work . I finally feel great. My virus is finally gone. I have never been better. I am happy that is gone. This week was just too frustrating for me. So, today I had only one class- ENWR 106. The weather was bizarre. I hate driving in a rainy weather. So the weekend is here. On Monday I have three classes so I have to do some work especially for READ 102. I was too sick to even care what I had to do, but this weekend I have to get right back on track because if I don't then everything will start to pile up. Tomorrow I am working again. Too bad I am not closing with Yaya. I miss this girl. Ruthy and Yaya are my best buddies lol. I love these guys. Today was a very slow day. For once customers gave us all a break. They stayed home, but still we didn't make a lot, oh well probably over the weekend we will make up for it. For now we just have to move on and deal with our lives. I have to read 100 or more pages for one of my classes. I hope I like this book. I also decided to reread all Harry Potter books. Yes, I am a huge fan of these. Ok then, I g2g, my feet are killing me and I am about to fall asleep with my laptop on top of my knees, which is not good for it ;-)

stomach virus
This is the most horrible thing that can ever happened to you. It started right on my birthday. Can you believe it. I alreayd felt funny in the restaurant. When I woke up on Monday morning I threw up two times and guess what after throwing up two times I still decided to drive to school. I just went to my one class. I barely could listen. I was dying in there. I went home then I threw up again and that's when I finally noticed I am not okay to go out anywhere. Today my fever was gone but guess what I started to get stomach aches if that was even better. I just can't believe it. I am planning to go to school tomorrow. I cannot afford to miss any more classes when the school finally got started. Ok then, talk to ya later guys ;-)

last day to be 19
Yes, today is my last day to be 19. Isn't that fun? Tomorrow I will be 20. I can't believe the life goes so fast. It wasn't that while ago when I was 5 and I was playing in the sandbox with all my friends. It wasn't long ago when I started kindergarten. It is just unbeliavable how the time goes so fast. Next year I will be finally 21. Nothing will be in my way. So, it is almost 11:30 pm and I am almost done with half of my first homework for the LGN210-01. It is a very interesting course. I like the teacher. She is a very nice lady. On Monday I have three classes. Not so bad. I am used to it by now. This semester probably will go even faster than the fall one. We are almost done with January then February which is like 29 days long then March. In March we get one week off then April and finally May. The best thing about college is that we also get to have the month of June off which is amazing lol ;-) Ok then, g2g. I am very sleepy ;-)

REMINDER!
Fellow New Jersians,
As many of you know our state of New Jersey has a primary elections on Feb 5th. Feb 5th is also known this year as Super Tuesday because it's not only us who get to vote. There are other states as well that get to vote that day. Remember every vote counts. Every vote can make a difference in this country of ours. It would be wonderful if many of you would plan to register to vote. Just mark your calendars. You don't have to necessary vote in this upcoming election, but the one in November is the one where everyone should vote. Every single American. Remember you can make a huge difference. When you register you probably will getr an answer back in about a week ( that how it was in my case). When you get an answer back you will just get a little voter acknowledgement card. Please don't throw it away. It has your registration number on it as well as your voting district.
Remember to register. Mark you calendars and what's important of all VOTE FOR HILARY CLINTON. Make a difference. Every single vote counts.

I'm back!
Hi,
Yes, I am definitely back. It was a long break. I started to miss blogging.
January 2008- The Month of Tragedies:
On January 15th, my cousin's two cousins were killed in a major car accident.
On January 22nd- Heathcliff Andrew Ledger was found dead in his apartment in Soho.
On January 23rd- the Polish military plane CASA-295 crashed. Twenty people died.
I hope with all my heart that the month of February as well as the rest of the year 2008 will turn out to be great. Let's hope for that.
